Throughout the eleven months of school, these lunch ladies provide food for the students at Pueblo County Highschool. They provide breakfast and lunch daily. Some of the ladies show up to start gathering everything together for the day at either six-thirty or seven-thirty in the morning. After serving the kids breakfast in homeroom for eight-thirty to eight-fifty, the ladies start to prep for the students lunch as well.
We interviewed them while they were serving students lunch and had the following answers to the question, "why did you choose this job position at PCHS?" LouAnn Koshak responded with,"I love working with the kids and communicating with them on the daily basis." LouAnn Koshak's co-worker, Sandra Lazo had a defferent approach to the question,"My job is fun for me but it also replaces my spare time". Debbie Sierra also stated "...it was an easy job to have especially while her kids where younger and it just stuck". Melissa Vigil has been working at county for many years and even has a degree in buisness and culinary arts and hopes one day to make it into the admin building.
This was just a quick look into what the Lunch Ladies of PCHS do for all the students and staff. We would like to tahnk the lunch staff for all that they do, and we can't thank you enough!
