On Sept 13. Medal of Honor Recipient Harold Fritz enlightened Pueblo County High Schools student body, and staff with his appearance, and stories. He presented many stories about his experiences joining the Military. Fritz happily stayed for a few minutes after the Medal of Honor Assembly to meet students, and take a quick photo with them.
The day began at 8 a.m. at the Pueblo Colorado Rawlings Library with a ceremony honoring all the Medal of Honor Recipients and their family members. The second floor held 105 people, also including Bruce P. Crandall, Brian M. Thacker, and Harold A. Fritz. Many speeches were made on their past experiences, and how they became a recipient of the Medal of Honor.
These Medal of Honor recipients were all invited to the ceremony not all confirmed recipients could make it to Pueblo due to weather and flight delays. Those in scheduled to attend, but not were in attendance are listed as: Ronald Rosser, Drew Dix, Ty Carter, Gordon Roberts, Tommy Norris, Sammy Davis, Joe Marm, Mike Morris James McCloughan, Don “Doc” Ballard, Tom Kelly, Gary Littrell, Chuck Hagemeister, Leroy Petry, Charles Kettle Bennie Adkins, Woody Williams Brian Williams Brian Thacker, Hal Fritz Roger Donlon, Bruce Cranndall, Robert Foley, Jim Taylor, Bob Patterson, Ed Byers, Pat Brady, Barney Barnum.
