25 Years and Going Strong

On Aug. 29, 2025 Pueblo County High School’s Varsity Football team geared up to face their longtime rivals Pueblo West High School at Colorado State University Pueblo for the 25th anniversary of their annual Pigskin game.

PCHS’ fans were all dressed in white, a stark contrast to the green and gold confetti that would fill the air once County would score a touchdown. PCHS’ and PWHS’ cheer, dance and marching band all performed at the half time show, filling the stadium with music and cheers before the game picked back up. 

It was a close game, but PCHS was just a few points short of taking the lead over PWHS. The final score was PWHS with a score of 39 and PCHS with 34, a five point difference. Despite this, the crowd, the halftime show, and the near comeback in the end will make the 2025 Pigskin a game that will not soon be forgotten.
