The start of the school year. A busy and nerve-racking time. Learning your classes, getting
supplies, and just being prepared. For freshman high school students, it's a brand-new experience. One of those freshman is Micheal Espinoza Jr.

Do you like the schedule that you have?

“It’s all right, not the best, but I can live with it,” said Espinoza.

Espinoza is used to having a schedule, but the one for high school is different. You can do different clubs and  activities. You can have advanced and regular classes. Espinoza has a mix of some exciting classes, and regular classes.

Who is your favorite teacher?

“Mrs. Stevens, she is a nice and cheerful teacher,” said Espinoza.

Espinoza’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Stevens Mrs. Stevens is one of the English teachers at County High School. Espinoza makes her sound like a fun and lively teacher.

Who is your most challenging teacher?

“Mr. Osborne, I’m not really good at math. I’m kinda worried that I might fail,” said Espinoza.

From favorite teacher to most challenging teacher. Mr. Osborne is one of the math teachers at County High School. So it’s understandable that his class can be challenging. Especially since he teaches a tough subject of math, geometry.

Do you like this school better than middle school?

“Yes, indeed. Better food, better classes, and I can understand the learning process better,” said Espinoza.

There are good school years and there are bad school years. Middle school was some tough years for Espinoza. So going into high school was a nice breath of fresh air for him. Better classes, better food, and an easier learning process.

What do you do after school?

“I do football practice after school, gotta stay physical,” said Espinoza.

Football is one of the biggest sports for High School, and Espinoza is one of the players for the football team. There are many after-school activities that you can do. Espinoza decided to choose football.

Are you excited or nervous this school year? Why?

“In the middle. It is a lot better than middle school, being able to meet old friends. But the difficulty and stress is much higher,” said Espinoza.

When it is your first year at High school, it can be overwhelming. But it can also be exciting! That is why Espinoza is in the middle. Espinoza is able to meet friends that he hasn’t seen in a while. On the other hand, Espinoza can have stress from all the work and the tests.

When you get back to school, you can be worried and overwhelmed. But over time you can understand everything and have a good school year. For Espinoza, his school year has been great! Having good teachers and classes, it sounds like Espinoza is gonna have a good freshman year at high school.
