The Pueblo County High School Dance team is trading their practice floor for pizza trays this Wednesday evening. On Oct. 10 from 5 p.m  to 8 p.m. The team will host a fundraiser at Pizza Ranch. Families and community members are invited to dine in and support the Hornet dancers.

“We will do all tasks such as running out new food to the buffet, clearing off tables, washing dishes and really anything that the workers at Pizza Ranch would usually do,” said Senior Jayla Butkovich.

A portion of the events sales will go directly toward the team’s expenses, like example uniforms, travel, and competition fees. For many team members, the fundraiser isn't just about raising money; it's about building spirit.

“The money raised on Wednesday will help our team this season by adding to our nationals funds, which are in Orlando Florida this January," said Sophomore Delaney Gray.

The team hopes the Pizza Ranch fundraiser will not only ease the costs of uniforms and competition fees but also give them a chance to connect with the community in a new way.
