Falling For The Fall Play

10/2/2025

 By: Noah White

With the season’s change comes new activities and new opportunities. The Arts Academy’s Fall Play Auditions have passed and the rehearsals have begun for the play, “Pride and Prejudice.”

Lots of competition for different roles from different student actors.  The students are all doing their best to get the part that they want. The auditorium is thriving.

Freshman Sage Wiggins said, “The audition was long due to the amount of people auditioning but overall it was very fun. People were really sweet and helped cheer on other students. Auditioning can be stressful sometimes, which is why I’m glad I had others who helped me calm down, do awesome, and land a part in Pride and Prejudice.”

Ms.Kristin Hoffmann, the new theater teacher, tackles this play. This is Hoffmann’s debut. Her  first one at PCHS, and is definitely not her last.

Hoffmann says, “I feel like the luckiest theatre maker in Colorado! The Arts Academy at Pueblo County High School is unique, not only to Pueblo, but to the state of Colorado. So often the arts are overlooked by the school districts and administration in public high schools, but what has been created here is truly heartening.”

Now that people are casted and rehearsals are starting, the play will take stage on Nov. 13-15, 7-9 p.m. and Nov. 16, 2-4 p.m.
