Pigskin Spirit Week

August is it. Annually, 

Pueblo County High School students show their Hornet Pride to prepare for Pigskin, an athletic showdown between PCHS and Pueblo West High School. Students boosted school spirit with spirit days, pep rallies, and a special assembly 

The Spirit Days this year included Sports Day, Cheer Mom vs. Football Dad, Adam Sandler, and the annual Dress Down West.

Students were also able to celebrate the Pigskin Bash, a pep rally,  held on Wednesday, Aug. 27. The rally featured games, food trucks, and booths from PCHS clubs. Participating clubs included Girls Cabinet, PCHS Yearbook, PCHS Student Government, and many more. Pep rally entertainment was provided by PCHS dance and cheer teams, band, football team, and admin.  

As the spirit week was coming to an end, the grand finale began. Students attended an assembly in the afternoon of Thursday, Aug. 28. Students participated in games such as Best Dressed and Connect Four and heard speeches from admin and Head Football Coach Ramon Enriquez.
