Walmart and Target are both stores that many people go to daily. They are both good places to shop at for many different reasons. It all depends on what customers' personal preferences are. Walmart is more of a grocery store, but it still has everything you need. Target is more of a store that sells clothing and beauty products, but still offers groceries.

Sophomore Yuridia Garcia says, “ I like Walmart better than Target because they have fresh and hot food, and Target is limited and does not have a
deli.Walmart is also cheaper.”

This is a good example that shows Walmart does offer a wider variety of food and groceries. Walmart focuses on low prices. Their main strategy is helping customers save money on groceries, food, and household items. Shoppers mainly choose Walmart when they need a fast deal.

“I like Target better because they have a better style of clothes.” Said Sophomore Marissa Guida.

Target offers a wider variety of styles and beauty products. Target is usually where people go to buy trendy clothes and
fun household decor. Lots of the products at Target are for younger people and are more trendy.

A poll was taken with the question: “Walmart or Target?” The results were 27 votes for Walmart and 93 votes for Target.

In the end, both companies are very successful because they meet customers' needs. Some shoppers choose Walmart for their low prices, while others choose Target for the experience and trendy items. They both have items that the other store does not and that’s why they compete.
