Students say swimming is an exciting and intriguing class. The pool is located in the hallway next to the cafeteria. Mr. Myles Meserve is the teacher for that class. Getting the students to participate in several different activities that relate to swimming. Freshman Drake Anderson  is in the swim class.

“It’s fun being able to swim for an hour, hanging out,” said Anderson.

Anderson didn’t sign up for swim class at first, but he has grown to like it since it’s like a gym class with all of his friends. The students swim for a full class period. Anderson makes swim class sound wonderful.

“Mr. Mesreve, he basically tells us to get dressed, and walks around the pool and tells us what to do,” said Anderson.

Meserve makes the class enjoyable and fun. Meserve gives them a daily routine. It has a mix of muscle ups, bobs, and flutter kicks. Meserve loves to see when the kids do dives and flips off the board.

“The best part of swim class is on Thursdays, because I can swim with my friends,” said Anderson.

Thursdays are free swim days where kids can do whatever they want. Sometimes there are basketball hoops, sometimes there are blocks that they can dive off of and sometimes they just relax and have a good time.

Being a part of a swim class can be a lot more interesting and fun than being in a regular gym class. Merseve helps to make the class an engaging experience. Whether students sink or swim, the class offers a splashing experience that no other class matches.
