Wishing Well Makes Wishes Come True

The Distributive Education Clubs of America community at Pueblo County High School has brought back the ongoing tradition of the Make-A-Wish Well. The wishing well, placed near the concessions stand during home games at PCHS, gives students, parents, and community members an easy way to contribute spare change to support Make-A-Wish Week which happens during Apr.

The  action comes as the school prepares for its annual Make-A-Wish fundraiser, which kicks off at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Each year, the effort raises money to help grant a wish for a Make-A-Wish child.

 DECA sponsor Ms. Sandusky said, “We put this Make-A-Wish Well out earlier in hopes parents and students attending throw change in to raise money and make a difference. ” 

The Wishing Well provides an extra opportunity to boost donations outside of the regular Make-A-Wish Week events, which often include assemblies, and other school-wide activities. PCHS students and staff hope the small contributions at each game will add up to make a big impact.
