2022 Cap and Gown Distribution

5/16/2022

By: Amairani Chacon

Where’d all the time go? With the final days left in the school year, PCHS seniors received their caps and gowns on Thursday, May 12.

During all three lunches, seniors were able to receive their caps and gowns to prepare for their upcoming graduation ceremony set to take place on Saturday, May 28, commencing at 8:30 at the Hornet Stadium.

It is a bittersweet moment as the final days of their high school career have come to a close. Neva Lucero, senior, says, “As we approach the end of the school year and are receiving our cap and gown, I can’t help but feel excited for this new chapter of my life that is about to open, but also feel a great sadness about closing this one.”

Many individuals of the senior class share various emotions about what this new phase in their lives will lead them. But seniors are not the only ones feeling the emotion as the year wraps up. Underclassmen step up to the plate of becoming closer and closer to their senior year, but also having their upperclassmen peers continue on with new career paths.

And to another year checked off the list, we wish the graduating Class of 2022 the best of luck in their futures. They will always have a place here at Pueblo County High School no matter the time of day.

Once again, a tremendous congratulations to the senior graduating Class of 2022 from the Yearbook and Journalism staff.
