Girls Cabinet

12/1/2022

By Michael Applegate

High Schools have many different clubs and extracurricular activities for students to participate in after school. A less known, but highly acclaimed club is Girl’s Cabinet. At PCHS the Girls Cabinet meetings may vary, but they usually meet Wednesdays a couple of times a month. They meet in Christine Mussos’ classroom right after school at normally 4:00 pm to give people time to get to other extracurricular activities.

The cabinet is an organization that is run by independent and strongly involved female students. The Cabinet helps out their communities by volunteering for the city, from going to help out with kids at the Zoo to doing volunteer work for their schools.

Senior, Susannah Baxter, said “It’s important to show that high school girls are more than what people may think, with volunteering by helping out their community. It’s a lot of work, but the girls are great and excited to volunteer this year.”

The girls within the organization are all very hardworking and strive to make a difference within Pueblo. Please support them on all their future endeavors.
