On Wednesday, October 12, the In-N-Out Burger food truck came to Pueblo County High School. The Speech and Debate club organized this as a fundraiser in order to fund their tournaments. In return for a $10 ticket, participants got a burger, chips, and a drink. A festival was organized to go along with the event, with games, such as cornhole, a pinata, and a photo booth being present. Crew dance also made an appearance and performed.
Taylor Gilman, one of the head coaches of Speech and Debate, commented, “I enjoyed the experience. It was very fun, and I hope to do it again next year and make it even bigger!”
When asked if she enjoyed the fundraiser, Rhyanna Allen, sophomore, said, “Yes, it was very enjoyable and the employees were very nice.” Allens’ sentiment was shared by other students, Anyeli Gonzalez Parra, junior, said “The food was great and I really enjoyed the burger.”
Overall, the fundraiser was a huge success for the Speech and Debate club.
