The Pueblo County High School FFA organization held their annual banquet on Monday, May 16. All FFA members and their families were invited to the banquet, to celebrate their hard work and values they believe in. The banquet began with introductions from the officers, a speech from alumni members, and a quick meal. Afterwards, the officer team gave out the Greenhand and Chapter degree awards, and then revealed the new officer team for the upcoming year.
FFA’s Reporter, Marissa Awmiller, senior said, “It was an exciting last goodbye to our FFA chapter.” The banquet was a way for the officers and members to gather one last time and celebrate what they had done throughout the year. Vice President, Julia Vieth, junior said, “The FFA banquet really showed off all the hard work the chapter does”. The organization had been involved in a BBQ, fruit selling and going up to the stock show earlier in the year. The banquet was a recap of the successful year and allowed the FFA members to say goodbye to the seniors and Mr. Mayfield.
