On Sept. 1, 2023, the Pueblo County High School football team faced off against Pueblo West High School football team in a debut of the team spirit, talent and the PCHS’ new mascot, Stinger.

The stands were filled with roaring fans, such as the PCHS Rowdies, decked out in the 2023 Pigskin Spirit theme; Superheroes vs, Villains.

One fan, Michael Enriquez, said that, “It was sad, but still fun to hang out with my friends.” The game ended with a score of 35 to 7, with the Cyclones winning. When asked what they thought about the upset of the game, Willow Stephenson stated, “ We tried our best, but we will be fine.”
