Play Unified

3/6/2019

Choose to Include, was this years Project Respect theme for the students of county. Today, 6 March 2019, students from county filed into the gym for a pumped up game of basketball between the teams from Project Respect. The game kept people on there feet, and as the shots went up the crowd went up and exploded in cheers. It was a close game and ended with a win against the teachers.

Coach Macaluso has been running the project since the beginning:

"When did county start the respect project?"
we started that in 2013, so this will have been our 7th year.

"How do you feel the players did?"
They did really good, they played together as a team, which is a big improvement from when we first started in december, pretty happy with that

"Do you feel they have grown since the project first began?"
They are working together more, they see eachother as a team and not individuals. they see the joy and the imprortance of playing for their school.

During the game, Countys own Noah Elizando aka "The Lizard" scored a flawless 3 pointer, which had the crowd instantly on their feet roaring.
The Buzz decided to ask Noah how it felt to make that basket..

"Feels pretty good, loved when the audience stood up and cheered" Noah said with a smirk. "I felt my team did very good, and that I did pretty good too."
