Spirit Week & Pigskin Assembly

9/1/2023

By Imajin Woodson

Spirit Week is a week where schools have a theme  for each day of the week. Students create outfits that match the theme.

In your elementary school it might've been called Dr.Suess week. Pueblo County High Schools spirit week was based off of the Football game called Pigskin. Spirit week was put together by Student Leadership. Caprese Lisac, junior year member, said “ My favorite part of Student Leadership is being involved and helping others! I can always look to my fellow leaders with Whatever challenges we come across at County!”

Pigskin Spirit Week is sponsored by Student Leadership.
Monday- Superheroes day off (Pajama Day)
Tuesday- Captain America Day (Red, White, and Blue)
Wednesday- First Responders (Everyday Heroes)
Thursday- Don’t be a Villain (Dress Down West)

We had the Pigskin Assembly. All freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors shouted out their
cheers loud and proud for their graduating years of, 24, 25, 26, and 27.
Ramon Enriquez, the PCHS football coach, cheered and said that Pigskin would be our win. Unfortunately, on the day of Pigskin, Sep 1, 23, PCHS had taken the loss with the score count of 35 to 7. PCHS football still has its pride and will work hard to win the next games upcoming soon.
