Have you ever cheated on your schoolwork? Whether its homework, a test or plagiarism. When you ask County students whether they have cheated before the ratio came out to 19-to-1. Nineteen being the number of people. That have cheated out of 20.
Both of my sources ask to stay anonymous.
This person has never cheated. They stated that they have never cheated because they “Don’t want to risk getting in trouble and don’t think you really gain anything from it. It’s better to just actually obtain and study the knowledge and try your best on the test.” They think that people who do cheat are “risking a lot and should rethink their decisions.” They said that they think their grades would negatively be affected if they cheated. They said, “I will never cheat because if you get caught you get an automatic zero.”
This other individual has cheated. They said that the reason they cheated was because, “My grades are bad, and I figured cheating wouldn’t hurt, it would just help me.” They don’t think cheating would have a big effect on their grades since they barely cheat. They stated, “People who don’t cheat must be very smart or they just don’t want to get caught. I am always scared I will get caught when I cheat, I have never been caught but if I do, I will stop.”
I feel like most high school students cheat because they don’t always have time to study for every subject. A lot of students have jobs or school activities after school, then they have to go home and do multiple teachers’ homework and study for multiple test, eat dinner, shower and get a good night sleep just to wake up at seven or earlier and go do the same thing. So, is cheating really bad all the time?
